A workshop named ‘Being Curious’ was organised by Anjali Sharma, Headmistress, Gitanjali Devashray, for the teachers from classes nursery to VI. The workshop emphasised how every year nearly five million children enter kindergarten with a curious mind, for we are born with an inquisitive and observant mind but unfortunately as years pass by we stop asking questions and seeking answers.

Picasso had once said that ‘All children are artists’ to which he added that the trick was to remain that way as adults. The same goes for curiosity; all children have an enquiring mind but the trick is to remain that way throughout their lives.

The workshop also emphasized various aspects especially the importance of a critical period in the growth of every child, various strategies adopted to maximize this period, the importance of curiosity, staying curious, the science behind learning, and the importance of the productive struggle for retention and engaging children so that they remain curious as they grow.
