In order to make students sensible to the environment, Gitanjali Devashary conducted an activity named Our Environment’ for its students of class V. Students studied and researched on the theme of ‘Our Environment’. They put up presentations that stated the causes and effects of the different types of pollution. They also suggested various measures that can be taken up to promote the cause of sustainable development. The aim of this project was to help nurture sensitivity in the student body and reinforcing in them, a feeling of protectiveness towards the environment.
The project helped to develop their critical thinking, collaborative skills and problem-solving abilities. It also provided the children with an opportunity to interact constructively with their peers in these times of virtual learning. The project concluded with the students pledging to be the earth warriors, fully committed to safeguarding the planet.
