Gland Pharma donates 80 ventilators, BiPAP machines to TS hospitals

Warangal: With a view to help the government which is fighting the Covid pandemic, the Gland Fosun Foundation of Gland Pharma company has donated 80 ventilators and BiPAP machines to government hospitals in the State.
Raghuraman, Managing Trustee of Gland Fosun Foundation, said he handed over 10 ventilators to the Jangaon Collector in the presence of Bala Vikasa Executive Director Shoury Reddy Singareddy who helped Gland Pharma Ltd coordinate with the district authorities.
Raghuraman said the Gland Fosun Foundation was responding to the current crisis and trying their best to support the government in saving the lives of thousands of people. Gland Pharma management is happy to collaborate with government hospitals who are doing great service during the pandemic situation.
District Collector Nikhila said that the support of Gland Pharma was very relevant to the current needs in the hospitals. “The ventilators will help the doctors to provide effective services to covid critical cases and save hundreds of lives,” she said and appreciated the initiative of Gland Pharma in providing lifesaving equipment.
The Gland Pharma Ltd also handed over 10 ventilators to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Warangal, and three ventilators to Mulugu government hospital on Friday. It said that they had spent about Rs 3.50 crore under CSR funds.
It may be recalled here that the Bala Vikasa, in association with Amazon, had provided 25 oxygen concentrators to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital to meet the oxygen needs of the patients on May 6. It also handed over 100 oxygen concentrator machines to the government hospitals in the State.
Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao had on Saturday asked the officials to get the support of Bala Vikasa to get equipment for the hospitals in the district.
