Hyderabad: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy said Congress party would support teachers in their fight against GO 317 and would not rest till the order was withdrawn. He also said that a delegation of Congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs would seek the appointment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his proposed visit to Hyderabad on February 4 in this regard.
A delegation of Upadhyaya Sanghala Porata Committee (USPC) representatives met the TPCC president at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, seeking his support for various agitation programmes being planned against GO 317. The union leaders explained to Revanth Reddy that thousands of teachers were suffering due to GO 317. He also accepted the USPC’s invitation to participate in the Maha Dharna at Indira Park on February 5.
The TPCC president directed the Congress party workers to organise dharnas before the District Collectorates on January 29 under the aegis of USPC.
