Godavarikhani model police station to be inaugurated soon

Peddapalli: A model police station construction in Godavarikhani would be inaugurated within two months, said Telangana State Police Housing Corporation Limited (TSPHCL) chairman Koleti Damodar.
The corporation chairman along with Ramagundam Police Commissioner V Satyanarayana and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Udhay Kumar inspected the works on Friday.
Koleti Damodar said the crime rate in the State has reduced after the formation of Telangana State and it was materialised only because of serious efforts by the police department. Telangana government, which was giving top priority to the police department, was fulfilling all basic facilities of the police department by allocating special funds, he said.
The CP said though the crime in Godavarikhani police station limits was under control, the crime rate reported in the coal belt city was no less than in Hyderabad city, Cyberabad and Rachakonda Commissionerates.
Talking about model police station, he opined that the new police station would enhance their responsibilities and help them to provide more services to the people. Peddapalli DCP Ravinder, Additional DCP (AR) Sanjeev, Traffic ACP Balaraju, CI Ramesh and others participated in the programme.
