Government Boys High School, Bolarum win in Hyderabad U-17 football tournament

Government Boys High School, Bolarum, defeated Dr Kalam High School, Mehdipatnam, 2-0 in the Hyderabad District School Games Federation Under-17 boys’ football tournament-cum-selection tournament at Gymkhana Ground. St Peter’s School and Jubilee Hills also registered wins in the tournament

Hyderabad: Government Boys High School, Bolarum, defeated Dr Kalam High School, Mehdipatnam, 2-0 in the Hyderabad District School Games Federation Under-17 boys’ football tournament-cum-selection tournament at Gymkhana Ground here.

The tournament features 36 teams.

In another match, St Peter’s School defeated Azra Public School 1-0, while Jubilee Hills beat St Mary’s School 2-0.

The tournament was inaugurated in the presence of Gokul, Deputy Sports Officer and former wrestler; Aleem Khan, former DYSO; Shabbir Ali, former India football captain; E S Shyam, A-Licence coach and coach of State Bank of India; and other sports officials and dignitaries.

Alamdar Raza, tournament convenor and P D with a B Licence, along with organising committee members Raju, Kishore, Rafiq and Sami, and physical directors of government schools, were also present.
