Government doctors meet Health Minister, presses for guideline-based transfers

The Telangana Government Doctors Association (TGGDA) on Friday met Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha, urging that transfers in the health department be carried out strictly in line with GO Ms No. 38.

Hyderabad: Telangana Government Doctors Association (TGGDA) on Friday met Health Minister, Damodar Raja Narasimha and urged him to ensure the transfers in the health department were taken-up strictly based on the guidelines of GO Ms No 38.

The association urged that, as per GO 38 rules, transfers should be conducted in order of priority which includes doctors who have completed 4 years of service in the same station, doctors with 3 years of priority, and candidates under the Zero Spouse category.

The TGGDA requested the State government that, as a recognized association under GO No. 38, their elected leaders should be granted an exemption from transfers.

The association explained that unlike past situations, their Association has now held democratic elections. Therefore, they are requesting transfer exemptions specifically for the leaders who have won the elections.
