Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao greeted the people of Telangana State on the eve of Deepavali on Thursday, in separate messages.
Extending her greetings to the people of Telangana on the auspicious occasion of Deepavali, the Governor said the festival of lights signifies the victory of righteousness over the evil and dispelling of darkness to herald a new light of happiness and prosperity. She appealed to the people to buy the local products and celebrate the festival to bring new light into the lives of the indigenous manufacturers in the true spirit of Atma Nirbhar Bharat. “I wish you all to celebrate the festival in a safe manner with care, caution, and gaiety following the COVID-19 protocols,” she added.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao also conveyed his greetings to people in the State on the festive occasion of Deepavali. He wished that every household be filled with the light of diyas and that there should be the light of happiness in the lives of people of Telangana. The Chief Minister also hoped that this Deepavali will drive away darkness with the light of wisdom.
Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy also extended his wishes to people of the State on the festive occassion of Deepavali. He hoped that the festival brings light into the lives of the people and urged them to celebrate the festival of light by following all safety measures. Several Ministers, MLAs and MP also extended their greetings.
