Govt. Medical College students injured as college bus rams into a tree in Kothagudem

Several students of Government Medical College, Kothagudem, sustained minor injuries after their bus rammed into a tree on the college campus. The accident occurred while students were heading to a hostel in Bollerigudem near Paloncha.

Kothagudem: A few students of Government Medical College in Kothagudem suffered injuries as the college bus in which they were travelling rammed into a tree on the college campus on Saturday.

The incident occurred when the students were going to a hostel at Bollerigudem near Paloncha after college hours. It is reported that the bus driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree on the roadside.

The bus windows shattered, resulting in minor injuries to several female students to their faces. The injured were immediately shifted to Government General Hospital in Kothagudem. The locals alleged that the bus driver was under the influence of alcohol.

The driver claimed that he felt dizzy suddenly and lost control of the vehicle. There were around 40 students on board at the time of the incident. Police are investigating the incident.
