Govt teacher dies of heart attack during class in Zaheerabad

A tragic incident unfolded at the Upper Primary School in Zaheerabad, Medak district, where a 48-year-old government school teacher collapsed from a heart attack while teaching in the classroom.

Medak: A government school teacher died of a heart attack while taking a class at the Upper Primary School in Zaheerabad town on Wednesday.

B Sujatha (48), a resident of Padigummal in Kohir mandal, had reached the school on Wednesday morning as usual. She fell off her chair while teaching, following which students raised an alarm. Her colleagues rushed to her rescue and shifted her to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

The incident left the students, teachers and parents in shock.

Three held for trying to sell pangolin in Adilabad

In Adilabad, three persons were arrested for allegedly selling an endangered pangolin in the forests of Gadiguda mandal centre on Wednesday. Two more accused persons are absconding. A pangolin and a cage were seized from them.

Forest officials said that Pendore Mahesh, Kinaka Shankar and Raisidam Sungu, all from Arjuni village in Gadiguda Mandal were apprehended while they were attempting to sell the animal to potential buyers. Pendore JugunathRao and Madavi Vinod, both belonging to Vempally, remain at large.

During interrogation, Mahesh, Shankar and Sungu confessed to catching the pangolin stuck in a fence set by a farmer around a farm. They admitted to trying to sell it to the buyers for Rs 5 lakh. They were produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.

A case has been registered against all the five accused. Investigations are on.
