Hyderabad/Warangal: Former Narsampet MLA and senior BRS leader Peddi Sudarshan Reddy suffered a heart attack at his residence in Hanamkonda on Sunday morning and was shifted to Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad after receiving emergency treatment. Doctors said his condition is stable.

Sudarshan Reddy reportedly complained of chest pain and was initially admitted to Rohini Hospital in Hanamkonda, where doctors administered emergency treatment. Hospital Director Dr Sudhakar Reddy said he was brought in after suffering a cardiac event and was also diagnosed with a lung infection. Following preliminary treatment, his condition was stabilised.

Doctors at Rohini Hospital said Sudarshan Reddy’s life was saved after repeated resuscitation efforts. Dr Mamata Reddy, who led the medical team, described it as a medical miracle, stating CPR was administered multiple times before his heartbeat was restored. He was shifted to Hyderabad through a green corridor for advanced medical care.

On learning about his condition, BRS working president KT Rama Rao and BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao rushed to Hanamkonda and later accompanied the ambulance to Hyderabad. They interacted with doctors and monitored the treatment.

BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao also enquired about Sudarshan Reddy’s health and instructed party leaders to ensure he received the best possible treatment. He remained in touch with the family and also the party leaders Rama Rao, Harish Rao, former MP B Vinod Kumar and district leaders, as doctors kept him informed about Sudarshan Reddy’s condition and treatment at regular intervals.
