Khammam: The welfare and development works being implemented by the TRS government have been attracting even the Opposition leaders in the State, said Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar.

The Minister along with ZP Chairman Lingala Kamal Raju welcomed several Congress leaders from Khanapuram of Mudigonda mandal in Madhira constituency on Friday into TRS. The village sarpanch Maloji Usha, former sarpanch Uyyala Sambaiah, leaders M Govindu, Kamala Venkateshwarlu, many ward members and around 50 families joined the TRS party.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Kumar expressed pleasure at Congress leaders’ decision to join TRS and said the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was the only Chief Minister in the country who has been caring for all the sections.

He reminded that Chintakani mandal in Madhira constituency was among the four mandals in the State selected for Dalit Bandhu scheme implementation after Huzurabad in Karimnagar. The State government also released an amount of Rs 100 crore for the scheme’s implementation.

Now the State government decided to implement the scheme in all Assembly constituencies in Telangana by selecting 100 beneficiary families from each constituency. The scheme was going to change the lives of SCs and empower them financially, Ajay Kumar said.

After the formation of Telangana State, justice was being done to all sections with the schemes implemented by the Chief Minister. The lives of farmers in the State have witnessed a substantial change with schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, free power to irrigation and others, he said.
