Mancherial: Government Whip Balka Suman instructed the officials of Rural Water Supply to supply protected drinking water to the public residing in habitations situated in five mandals and municipalities belonging to Chennur Assembly constituency in the ensuing summer. He convened a review meeting with the authorities in Chennur on Saturday.
Suman stated both officials concerned and executing agencies would not be tolerated if found showing laxity in providing the drinking water and taking up the works. He told them to expedite the works considering the drinking water crisis likely to be faced in summer. He warned that the agencies would be replaced by new ones if needed.
The Government whip further instructed the authorities to address leakages and damages to pipelines of the drinking water system. He asked them to repair roads damaged by the works of Mission Bhageeratha. He ordered them to be in the field and to monitor the quality of the works. He told them to resolve issues by bringing them to the notice of higher officials.
Mission Bhageeratha Executive Engineer T Anjan Rao, Grid EE Madusudan and engineers and representatives of executing agencies were present.
