Hyderabad: Film actor Mehreen Pirzada on Thursday planted saplings at Ramanaidu’s Studios as part of the Green India Challenge programme initiated by Rajya Sabha member Joginapalli Santosh Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Mehreen stressed the imporatnce of planting and protecting trees to save the environment. She thanked Santosh Kumar for launching the Green India Challenge initiative which aims at improving the green cover in the country. Mehreen Pirzada appealed to people that everyone should plant trees to offer oxygen to the coming generations and for making the country a Green and Clean India.
After the programme, Green India Challenge co-founder Raghava presented a copy of the book ‘Vriksha Veda’ to Mehreen Pirzada.
