Greenko revives medical oxygen plant in Sangareddy in record time

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar inspecting revival works
Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar inspected the revival works of the medical oygen plant taken up by Greenko company at Pashamylaram industrial estate in Sangareddy district on Tuesday.
Following the directions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to make the State self-sufficient in medical oxygen production, the government was taking all steps to identify defunct medical oxygen units in various parts of the State and revive them. As part of the oxygen augmentation process, this abandoned unit was handed over to Greenko which made it functional within a record period of one month in coordination and technical support given by TSIIC.
The revived unit will produce 40 MT of medical oxygen per day which will add to the State’s present production capacity. The unit began producing medical oxygen and would start supplies to hospitals in a couple of days.
The Chief Secretary appreciated Anil, chairman of Greenko, for the efforts to revive the plant in a short span by importing machinery from Belgium and other countries.
Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, IT & Industries, Narsimha Reddy, MD, TSIIC, K Shyamsundar, Chief Engineer, TSIIC were present.
