Group-I Main exam reports 30.6 per cent absentee rate on first day

A total of 31,403 candidates were picked for the Main examination and 21,817 students appeared for the test, translating attendance percentage to 69.4.

Hyderabad: The Group-I Main examination – paper I general essay conducted on Tuesday essay saw 30.6 per cent absentees.

A total of 31,403 candidates were picked for the Main examination and 21,817 students appeared for the test, translating attendance percentage to 69.4.


The TGPSC said tentative attendance figures were collected from 46 exam centers on the go while the examination was in progress and the figures were subject to minor variation.

On the first day of the examination – general English, saw 72.4 per cent sitting for the qualifying test.

The paper – II History, Culture and Geography examination is scheduled for Wednesday.
