Group III service exam: 29 centres created in Adilabad

Adilabad: Elaborate arrangements were in place for smooth conduct of Group III examination slated for Sunday and Monday.
Officials said that 29 centres were created in Adilabad helping 10,255 candidates to appear for the examinations. Five route officers, 10 squads, 29 department officers and 10 joint and joint route officers were deputed to organize the examinations. Officials were instructed to arrange basic amenities at the venues.
Collector Rajarshi Shah, who convened a review meeting with officials of various departments over the arrangements here on Friday, asked the officials to strictly conduct the examinations. He told the officials to provide bus service and to arrange help desks. He directed them to create electricity, fans, drinking water, furniture and CCTV cameras at the venues.
Superintendent of Police, who also attended the meeting, said that fool-proof security arrangements were made at the venues. He stated that section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) was imposed at the centres to prevent untoward incidents, besides closing nearby xerox centres. He advised the students to reach the venues by 8.30 am, carrying ID cards.
