Gudem temples sees influx of devotees in Mancherial
Executive Officer Sankatala Srinivas reported that 10,000 to 15,000 devotees from various parts of the district and neighboring districts—Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Adilabad, Peddapalli, and Jagtial—gathered to offer special prayers, forming long queue lines. Many devotees also took a holy dip in the Godavari River on the village outskirts before joining the rituals.

Mancherial: The ancient Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Devastanam located on a hillock at Gudem village in Dandepalli mandal witnessed a huge influx of devotees in connection with the auspicious Kartheeka masam on Sunday.
Executive officer Sankatala Srinivas said that somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000 devotees belonging to several parts of the district and neighboring Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Adilabad, Peddapalli and Jagtial districts thronged it. They performed special prayers by forming serpentine queue lines. They earlier had a holy dip in Godavari situated on the outskirts of the village.
Meanwhile, 543 couples performed Satyanarayana vratam, an important and annual ritual as a token of gratitude for the well-being of their family members. The shrine is the much sought-after pilgrim centre for conducting the ritual. It is regarded as Annavaram of Telangana.
The management of the shrine fed devotees, arranged a medical camp, besides creating drinking water and other basic amenities for the convenience of the pilgrims. Special queue lines were formed.
