Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Large quantities of prohibited gutka were recovered from a trader when sleuths of a task force raided his house in Koutala mandal centre on Thursday. The value of the products was assessed to be Rs 5.25 lakh.
Task Force Inspector Rana Prathap said that the bags containing the gutka were seized from the house of Sanjay Sarkar, a trader from Koutala mandal centre, following a tip. The products and the trader were handed over to local policemen for taking further action against him for allegedly trading the banned gutka, he added.
Sub-Inspector Prasad, constables Madhu, Tirupati, Sampath, Sanjay and Ramesh took part in the raids.
