Gutkha worth Rs 15 lakh seized in Hyderabad
Suspects identified as Prakash and Ravi were transporting the banned products from Gulbarga in Karnataka to deliver to dealers and customers here in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The Rajendranagar police caught two persons on charges of illegally transporting gutkha products late on Friday. Officials seized gutkha material worth Rs 15 lakh, apart from two auto-trolleys and cash.
According to the police, the suspects identified as Prakash and Ravi were transporting the banned products from Gulbarga in Karnataka to deliver to dealers and customers here in Hyderabad.
The duo had procured the material from local dealers on Thursday and started to Hyderabad on Friday for deliveries. Based on a tip-off, the police team caught the vehicle during a checking.
