Hansika Motwani’s film ‘My Name Is Shruti’ launched in Hyderabad

Director Srinivas said the movie tells the story of a woman who fights all odds, facing challenges that are coming her way. "As they say, there's a woman behind every man's victory."

Hansika Motwani, Telugu audiences could flash to a decade back reminiscing her character Vaishali in Allu Arjun starrer ‘Desamuduru’. Although she later managed with a few sparkles on the Telugu silver screen, the actor has been trying really hard to create an impact that her fans had expected. Hansika’s upcoming movie titled ‘My Name Is Shruti’ was formally launched with a puja ceremony at Filmnagar here in the city.

Revathi gave the clap for the muhurat shot while Vaishnavi switched on the camera. Vamsi Gaurav directed the first scene of the movie. Speaking during the film launch, Hansika said,

“This is my 52nd movie. My career as a film actor began in Telugu film industry. The industry has been very generous as it gave me fame. I am happy to announce my next movie in Telugu. Shruti is an independent woman who expresses her opinion very bravely. It has enough twists and turns as the story proceeds further. My curiosity of what’s next kept me on the edge of the seat throughout the narration. And that’s the reason why I had to agree to do the film,” she said.

Directed by Srinivas Omkar, the movie is being bankrolled by Ramya Burugu, Nagendra Raju under the banner Vaishnavi Arts. Director Srinivas said the movie tells the story of a woman who fights all odds, facing challenges that are coming her way. “As they say, there’s a woman behind every man’s victory.”

Other characters in the movie include Murali Sharma, R Narayanan, Jayaprakash, Vinodini, Sai Teja, Puja Ramachandran, Rajiv Kanakala among other actors. Mark K Robin is scoring the music.
