Haribhushan’s kin slam Maoists for not handing over body
Haribhushan, who belonged to Madagudem of Gangaram mandal in Mahabubabad district, died on June 21 due to Covid-19, according to a statement released by the party.
Mahabubabad: The family members of CPI Maoist Telangana State Committee secretary Yapa Narayana alias Haribhushan on Friday slammed the party for not handing over his body to them.
Haribhushan, who belonged to Madagudem of Gangaram mandal in Mahabubabad district, died on June 21 due to Covid-19, according to a statement released by the party. Meanwhile, his younger brother Ashok and other family members, during a chat with the media in their village on Friday, condemned the act of Maoists. They expressed suspicion over the party’s announcement of his death only after the police revealed it to the media. “They should have informed us before conducting the last rites. At least through civil rights organistions, they could have handed over the body to us,” they said.
