Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader T Harish Rao called out Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, stating that he had betrayed the Telangana cause and was misleading the public with false promises.

He attacked Revanth Reddy, stating that the man caught with bags of money in the cash-for-vote scandal was now preaching morals to teachers.

In a strong counter to the Chief Minister’s abusive rhetoric during the distribution of appointment letters to DSC qualified teachers at LB Stadium here on Wednesday, Harish Rao lashed out at Revanth Reddy for wasting public money to insult former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

He termed Revanth Reddy’s actions “uncultured” and an attempt to corrupt the minds of teachers, who were meant to shape the society.

“No one except traitors of Telangana would dare call the former Chief Minister a devil,” he said, pointing out that while Chandrashekhar Rao was leading the Telangana Statehood movement, people like Revanth Reddy were standing in the way to obstruct.

He lashed out at Revanth Reddy for betraying Telangana’s cause, labeling him a “traitor.”

The BRS MLA slammed the Chief Minister for misleading the public regarding job recruitments, pointing out that many of the achievements Revanth Reddy was now claiming credit for, including 30,000 job appointments, were actually the result of BRS efforts.

“The notifications, exams, and even verification processes were all done under Chandrashekhar Rao’s leadership. Revanth Reddy just handed over appointment letters in the last leg of recruitment process but is taking credit for the entire exercise,” he said.

Harish Rao said the Congress failed to deliver its promises, including two lakh jobs in a year, with no job notification released in the last 10 months.

Finding fault with Revanth Reddy for lying over recruitments, he pointed out that during the BRS regime, more than 1.6 lakh government jobs were filled including 11,000 teaching and 12,000 non-teaching posts in residential welfare schools as well as regularisation of services.

Harish Rao called Revanth Reddy the “real threat to Telangana,” vowing that Chandrashekhar Rao and the BRS would protect the State from his “deceptive leadership” and “evil plans.” Revanth Reddy’s abusive words and failed promises would bring him down, he added.
