Hyderabad: Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of a central government-led “witch hunt” against his brother-in-law, Robert Vadra, BRS leader and MLA T Harish Rao sharply criticised the Congress leader, accusing him of “sheer hypocrisy.”
Rao’s remarks highlighted what he called Gandhi’s selective outrage. He questioned the silence of the Congress party and its leaders when they allegedly targeted the family of former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao with “lies and vendetta politics.”
Gandhi, in a post on X, defended Vadra, stating, “My brother-in-law has been hounded by this government for the last ten years.” Seizing on Gandhi’s remarks, Harish Rao fired back, stating, “When it’s your family, you call it a ‘witch hunt.’ But when the Telangana Chief Minister and Congress leaders target BRS leader K Chandrashekhar Rao’s family with lies and vendetta politics, you stay silent.”
“Hypocrisy at its peak,” he asserted.
