Karimnagar: BRS leader and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao said that unlike BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao, who developed the State on all fronts, the Congress government has become a care of address for distractions.
Addressing a party workers’ meeting in Choppadandi on Saturday, Harish Rao said that while the BRS government developed Telangana on all fronts within nine years, the ruling Congress had done nothing except create diversions in Hyderabad in the name of HYDRAA and demolish houses for real estate interests under the pretext of Musi beautification.
Except for using abusive language, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had no interest in solving the problems of farmers, he alleged. Abusive language would not feed farmers, Harish Rao said.
Referring to the Chief Minister describing himself as Karna, one of the major characters in the Hindu epic Mahabharata, Harish Rao said Revanth Reddy was not Karna but a brutal man. Karna was known for his generosity and even donated his armour and earrings, whereas Revanth Reddy was creating troubles for the poor, he alleged.
Commenting on the demolition of houses of the poor in Khammam, he said a sub-inspector deployed for security arrangements broke down after witnessing the pain of the affected families. The entire country was moved after the video of the incident surfaced, but the Chief Minister showed no regret, he claimed.
Harish Rao alleged that it had become a routine practice for Revanth Reddy to wake up during elections and level allegations against Chandrashekhar Rao and the BRS party.
Before elections, the Chief Minister promised to provide Rythu Bandhu and later forgot about the assurance after the polls, he said, adding that it was ridiculous for the Chief Minister to say he did not know whether the loan waiver and Rythu Bandhu amounts were deposited.
Earlier, Harish Rao interacted with farmers at Gopalraopalli and examined withered paddy crops.
