Siddipet: Former Minister T Harish Rao said that development of Telangana came to a standstill after Congress came to power. Addressing the party cadres after unveiling the party’s flag on the occasion of 25th foundation day of BRS in Siddipet on Sunday, Rao said that the Congress cheated the people by making false promises during the election campaign. After watching the Congress in power for one and half year, the former minister said that everyone in the State wanted BRS back in power under the leadership of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Talking about the 24 years of the party’s journey, Rao said that BRS had realised the decade’s old dreams of people to see Telangana as a separate state. He further said that Chandrashekhar Rao had also put Telangana at the top of development charts. Accusing the Congress of turning jealous of development activities taken up during the BRS rule in Siddipet, Rao said that the Congress government shifted several projects out of Siddipet after they came to power.
