Harish Rao slams Rahul Gandhi over hypocrisy in constitutional violations under Congress Rule

Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao slammed Congress Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi, for hypocrisy in defending constitutional values. Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s statement about being stopped by police from visiting Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh, he pointed out at the Congress government’s actions in Telangana.
“Rahul Gandhi ji, if as Leader of the Opposition (LOP) it is your right to visit Sambhal, why was Legislative Council LOP S Madhusudana Chari ji arrested by your Congress government in Telangana when he was on his way to Lagacherla?” he questioned.
He held the Congress government responsible for disregarding constitutional principles. “Yes, Rahul ji, you are right. Constitutional values have no place in Congress-ruled Telangana. Hail hypocrisy. Shame,” he said.
Rahul Gandhi had earlier claimed that the BJP government was suppressing opposition voices by using police to prevent his visit to Sambhal, calling it a violation of constitutional rights.
