Haritha Haram: Eco-club launched for green mission
The yearlong activities conducted as part of the initiative culminated on July 5.

Akshara Vaagdevi International School in collaboration with Pallavi Model School launched the ‘Ecoclub’ on July 1 as part of the Haritha Haram green drive launched by the Telangana State government.
The yearlong activities conducted as part of the initiative culminated on July 5. With the start of the club, students of Akshara School hope to involve young learners in efforts to preserve the environment and create eco-awareness among students and youth of the society.
PowerPoint presentation The students explained the action plan of the eco-club through PowerPoint presentations designed to help nurture their enthusiasm towards the environment. Projects like eco-restoration are planned to be carried out on a small yet regular scale by the students, the school said. Campaigns will aim at “saying no to plastic”.
The school principal, teachers and students pledged their resolve towards saving today for our children’s future. With a renewed resolve towards attaining the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set up by the United Nations as the agenda 2030, Askharites vowed to reduce, renew and recycle with a specific emphasis on good health and well-being of family and friends and protecting nature.
