Hyderabad: Former Indian Cricket team captain and Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) president Mohd Azharuddin on Monday visited the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) and met Vice-Chancellor Prof Syed Ainul Hasan.

In the informal meeting, Prof Ainul Hasan expressed his desire to collaborate with the HCA for the development of a cricket ground on the MANUU campus in Gachibowli which can be utilised mutually for the benefit of students from MANUU and by the HCA.

Azharuddin took a keen interest in the proposal and inspected the existing sports facilities on the MANUU campus, a press release from MANUU said. He agreed to pursue the matter with the Association. Prof Ainul Hasan also handed over a formal representation to Azharuddin.
