Maulana Azad National Urdu University launched “Radio MANUU 90.0 FM”, a community radio station focusing on youth programmes, local issues, skill development and promotion of Urdu language and culture. The station will be operated by the university’s Instructional Media Centre.

The Central government has allocated Rs. 6,000 crore for higher education textbooks in Indian languages, including Urdu. MANUU has been appointed the nodal agency to develop 2.5 lakh textbooks under the NEP, involving 4.5 lakh teachers and experts nationwide.
