Hyderabad: What happens when a president and secretary of an association write separate letters to the Police seeking permission to conduct the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The obvious reply from the police authorities was asking for a joint representation.
In this case, Mohammad Azharuddin and R Vijayanand, president and secretary of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), wrote separate letters to the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda on the AGM. In what could be a further insult to HCA, the rift between the president and secretary has reached a new low.

First of all, Vijayanand shoots off a letter to the Rachakonda Commissioner for AGM without consulting the president or of any decision taken by the Apex Council. The AGM was scheduled to be held on November 29 last, but had to be postponed because of the sudden announcement of the GHMC elections.
Thereafter, Vijayanand said in the letter to the Commissioner they would like to hold AGM on December 20 at 10 am with a gathering of 200 to 250 members in the open ground of the Uppal Stadium by taking all Covid-19 precautionary measures.
Subsequently, Azharuddin sent a letter to the Commissioner to reject the permission of holding the AGM as it was scheduled without his knowledge and it was not decided by the Apex Council of HCA.
The Commissioner said there is a contrary in the version of both the president and secretary.
In his reply, the Commissioner apart from asking for joint representation for the conduct of the AGM, he also wanted the copy of the Board resolution asking specific place of meeting and exact number of participants, etc.
