Hyderabad: The inspecting teams of Telangana State Drug Control Administration (TSDCA) raided Balaji First Aid Centre, a health care facility being operated by a quack (unqualified medical practitioner) Palthya Raju at Kothapet Rupla Thanda, Shivampet mandal, Medak and seized a variety of drugs worth Rs 20, 500 , which were stocked illegally for sale.
During the course of the raids, the DCA teams ascertained that the quack Palthya Raju was conducting clinical practice without proper qualifications at his clinic. The DCA officials detected 30 varieties of medicines, including antibiotics, steroids, analgesics etc. stocked at the premises without a drug license.
The drug inspectors of DCA detected several antibiotics including Amoxycillin, Ofloxacin, Ornidazole etc ad steroids including Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate Injection, Prednisolone Tablets etc at the clinic during the raids.
Further investigation will be carried out, and action will be taken as per the law against all the offenders, DG, TSDCA, V B Kamalasan Reddy on Tuesday said.
