Heatwave grips Telangana as temperatures cross 45 degrees in five districts; Hyderabad sizzles above 41 degrees Celsius

Adilabad recorded the highest temperature in the State on Friday at 45.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Nirmal (45.4°C), Jagtial (45.3°C), Nizamabad (45.3°C), and Jogulamba Gadwal (45.1°C). However, the forecast for the next few days indicates a slight dip in maximum temperatures across the State.

Hyderabad: As the sun blazed away, five districts in Telangana had the mercury shooting up beyond 45 degree Celsius mark while the day temperatures in Hyderabad remained well above 41 degree Celsius.

The highest day temperature of the State on Friday was recorded at Adilabad at 45.5 degree Celius followed by Nirmal (45.4 degree Celsius), Jagtial (45.3 degree Celsius), Nizamabad (45.3 degree Celsius) and Jogulamba Gadwal (45.1 degree Celsius). The forecast for next couple of days however hopes for a slight drop in maximum temperatures across the State.

Meanwhile, the hottest spot of Hyderabad on Friday was Jubilee Hills where the day temperature zoomed past 42 degree Celsius mark while areas such Santoshnagar, Karwan, Mehdipatnam, Chandanagar were closer with 41.9 degree Celsius.

The weather forecast for the city too looks at the possibilities of the day temperatures coming down a little and hopefully be around the 40 degree Celsius mark next couple of days.
