Hyderabad: Heavy rain floods Old City roads, disrupts traffic

HYDERABAD: Several roads in the old city were flooded following heavy rains on Thursday morning resulting in traffic slow down.

Motorists had to wade through knee deep water at Engine Bowli, Chatrinaka, Uppuguda, Bandlaguda, Khilwat road, Aghapura, Bahadurpura and few other areas. Two wheelers broke down while negotiating the flooded roads further compounding the misery of the motorists.

Around 9 am the DRF and GHMC team started efforts to clear the water from the roads.

Water entered into the houses in Rajanna Bowli, Chatrinaka, Tallabkatta, Moula ka Chilla, Chacha Garage and few other areas. Children heading to schools on the first day of the academic year faced immense problems.
