Heavy rainfall forecast in northern Hyderabad; citizens advised to limit vehicle movement

Hydraa has issued an alert for Hyderabad, forecasting extremely heavy rainfall from August 13 to 15, especially in northern areas like Medchal and Cyberabad. Citizens are urged to stay vigilant, limit vehicle movement, and those in low-lying areas should move to safer locations

Hyderabad: Given the forecast of extremely heavy rain for the city, the Hydraa on Tuesday urged citizens to stay alert and restrict vehicle movement over the next three days.

Based on weather predictions for August 13 to 15, Hydraa said the northern parts of Hyderabad — including Medchal district and Cyberabad areas within Hydraa limits — were expected to be the most affected.

Other areas were also expected to receive heavy rainfall ranging from 10 to 15 cm, with some places possibly experiencing up to 20 cm.

People were advised to remain vigilant, limit vehicle movement for the next three days, and those living in low-lying areas were urged to take extra precautions and move to safer locations if necessary.
