Second flood warning withdrawn in Bhadrachalam as Godavari recedes, first warning still active
Authorities in Kothagudem district have withdrawn the second flood warning in Bhadrachalam as the Godavari river's water level dropped below 48 feet. The first warning remains in effect, with officials urging vigilance due to potential intense rainfall.

Kothagudem: Officials have withdrawn the second warning issued at Bhadrachalam as water level in river Godavari receded below 48 feet.
The water level at 8pm was recorded at 47.90 feet with a discharge of 11.39 lakh cusecs. The first warning was in force as water level was above 43 feet, District Collector Jitesh V Patil said.
He advised people to be alert as there was a possibility of intense rainfall in the district. If there is continuous rain for more than three hours or if more than 100 mm of rainfall is recorded in any area of the district, the concerned officials should assess the situation and take steps to evacuate people from flood-prone areas to safe places.
