Heavy rains on Monday caused severe waterlogging in Hyderabad’s old city, submerging roads in areas like Falaknuma, Mallepally, and Chatrinaka. Motorists struggled to pass through flooded stretches while pedestrians were left waiting for the water to recede. Traffic snarls followed.

Hyderabad: Waterlogging was reported from several areas of the old city following heavy rains on Monday.
Several localities such as Bandlaguda, Chandrayangutta, Falaknuma, Dabeerpura, Bahadurpura, Kalapather, Ramaswamygunj, Chatrinaka, and Mallepally had knee-deep water.
Motorists were seen struggling to negotiate through the flooded roads.
Pedestrians were stranded on the roadside, waiting for the water to recede.
Traffic jams were witnessed on all major thoroughfares in the old city.
