Heavy rains lash Siddipet, Medak and Sangareddy; normal life paralysed
Siddipet, Medak, and Sangareddy districts received heavy rainfall, with Gouraram in Siddipet recording 235.8 mm. Low-lying areas were inundated, disrupting normal life. Authorities set up control rooms and urged residents to venture out only for urgent needs.

Siddipet: Gouraram in Siddipet district recorded 235.8 mm of rainfall, while several parts of the erstwhile Medak district witnessed the heaviest showers of the season. Mulugu (186 mm), Begumpet (162 mm) and Angadi Kistapur (141 mm) in Siddipet also received heavy rain between 8.30 am on Sunday and 5 am on Monday.
In Medak district, Islampur recorded 178 mm of rainfall, followed by Kowdipally (172 mm), Chinna Shankarampet (164 mm), Damarancha (158 mm) and Masaipet (148 mm). In Sangareddy district, Kangti registered 166 mm, while Kadpal and Anna Sagar too recorded more than 100 mm during the same period.
Several low-lying areas were inundated, paralysing normal life across the three districts. District administrations have set up control rooms to assist people in distress and urged citizens to step out only for urgent needs. With the IMD forecasting more rains for the next two days, officials have placed residents on high alert.
