The movie is all set for an OTT release on Amazon Prime Video on July 20. A remake of critically-acclaimed Tamil classic ‘Asuran’, the Telugu version tells the story from the perspective of director Srikanth Addala.

Originally inspired from Tamil novel ‘Vekkai’, the film gives a peek into the real incident of Kilvenmani massacre of 1969.

The Telugu version stars Venkatesh, Priyamani and Karthik Rathnam. ‘Narappa’ is among the big-budget flicks that are meant to release on the big screen post pandemic. The movie waited all through the pandemic and was about to release in theatres. However, producer Suresh Babu decided to release it on the OTT platform instead.
