Hyderabad: Megastar Chiranjeevi shared a post on his X account on Saturday, thanking Prime Minister Modi.

“Thank you Hon’ble Prime Ministe Shri @narendramodi ji for this honor.” he wrote in his post.

The post from the Chiranjeevi comes after he was recognised as one of the cultural icons of Indian cinema, and was inducted into the advisory board of World Audio Visual Entertainment (WAVES). The actor also participated in a video conference of the Advisory Board of WAVES chaired by Prime Minister Modi on Friday.

The members of the Advisory Board are eminent individuals from different walks of life, who not only reiterated their support but also shared valuable inputs on how to enhance further our efforts to make India a global entertainment hub.

As part of the Waves Summit, being held from February 5 to 9, 2025, the Ministry of Information and Broadcastingis also launching the Create in India Challenge, Season 1, which will feature several ‘challenges’ aimed at fostering innovation and creativity. The Summit has brought together industry leaders, stakeholders, and innovators. The Summit was earlier supposed to be held alongside the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa in November.
