Hidden cam in restaurant washroom: Hyderabad Police to check dark web for recordings
Police said the mobile phone had recordings of about five hours and that several women who went to use the washroom were filmed using the hidden camera phone.

Hyderabad: A day after a woman customer discovered a hidden camera in the women’s washroom ot he One Drive-in restaurant in Hyderabad’s upscale Jubilee Hills, the police are planning to scan social media, websites and even the dark web to see whether the suspect had posted any of his recordings.
Police said the mobile phone had recordings of about five hours and that several women who went to use the washroom were filmed using the hidden camera phone. Apart from finding out the motive of the 18-year-old suspect, Bongarala Banerjee, the police are also seeking help from cyber security experts and forensic science experts to examine the gadget.
The police are also initiating action against the owner of the restaurant for his failure in keeping a check on the activities of his workers. The Jubilee Hills police , as part of intensifying the investigation into the case, also conducted a search at the house of Banerjee.
A case under 354(C) and 509 of the Indian Penal Code and 67 of the IT Act was booked against Banerjee and against the owner of the restaurant as well.
