Warangal Urban: Secretary and Correspondent of the Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Warangal, and MP (Rajya Sabha) Capt V Laksmikantha Rao said that a total of 556 students had been offered jobs through the campus placements in the academic year 2019-20. The companies including MNCs are from IT, Core and PSUs, he added.
The companies which offered Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) include GE Digital, GGK Technologies, Hexaware, Edupolis, CGI, Raam Group and others. In a press note here on Saturday, Lakshmikantha Rao said that over 54 companies assessed students in the 2019-20 academic year to offer 566 jobs till date with 9.5 Lakhs per annum (LPA). The CTC paid by GE Digital being the highest followed by Opentext with 6.5 LPA and Infosys, Amazon with 5 LPA. The Average CTC is 3.8 LPA for this year, he added.
“TCS with 124 numbers of offers, Infosys with 75, Cognizant with 80, Wipro with 59 and Mphasis with 53 are a few renowned companies which extended job offers to our students. A good number of students participated and succeeded by getting jobs through global and national level talent tests viz TCS Codevita, TCS Ninja, Wipro National Talent Hunt, InfytQ, HackwithInfy, etc.,” he said.

Based on mutual tie up with Wipro, three of our faculty members got the status of “Wipro Talent Next Certified Trainers”, after a detailed training cum evaluation,” he explained.
Meanwhile, KITSW Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy said that All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) had granted permission to the institute to introduce new courses in emerging technologies including CSE-Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and CSE-IoT (CSE- Internet Of Things) from this academic year (2020-21).
