Himayatsagar floodgates opened, surplus water released into Musi River
HMWSSB officials opened the third floodgate of Himayatsagar reservoir at 10 am on Friday, releasing surplus water into the Musi River. Three gates, each lifted to one-foot height, are regulating an outflow of 1,044 cusecs against 4,000 cusecs inflow.

Hyderabad: HMWSSB officials opened the third floodgate of Himayatsagar at 10 am at one-foot height and released surplus water into the Musi River.
So far, the officials opened three out of 17 floodgates of the Himayatsagar reservoir.

Himayat Sagar: FTL: 1763.50 feet (2.970 TMC)
Present Level: 1763.10 (2.818 TMC)
Inflows: 4000 Cusecs
Outflow: 1044 Cusecs
Gates: 3 Gate opened for 1 feet height
