Historic Medak Cathedral Church decked up for Christmas festival
Medak Cathedral Church, over 100 years old, has been decorated for Christmas celebrations. Devotees from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and other regions attended. Hotels are fully booked, traders have set up stalls, and children enjoy rides and festive activities.
Medak Cathedral Church is colourfully illuminated on Wednesday a day ahead of Christmas.
Medak: The historical Medak Cathedral Church has been decked up for annual Christmas celebrations. The Church, which has more than 100 years of history, would attract the Christians from across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and other parts of the nation.
The construction of the church began in 1914 and was completed in 1924. While the Church management made all arrangements for the annual festivities, the district administration and police also made arrangements to ensure the festival was celebrated without any issue.
The devotees have started coming to Medak on Wednesday morning onwards. They were offering prayers before leaving the town. Most of the hotels and lodges were fully occupied in the town. The business establishments were making brisk business due to increased influx of devotees to the town from various parts.
The traders have arrived from various places to set up shops on the premises of the Church. While the recreations, such as giant wheels, were also installed, children will have the best time during the festival.
