Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) on Sunday distributed around 20,000 saplings at Tank Bund. Special counters were set up and 31 varieties of saplings including homestead, flowering and medicinal plants were handed over to those who came to Tank Bund for Sunday Funday activities.

Tulsi, Aloe Vera, lemon grass, rose, jasmine and money plant were some among the varieties distributed. The details of the persons were entered in a register and the saplings wrapped in a paper bag were handed over. The HMDA also set up a banner encouraging people towards protecting the green cover.
