HMWSSB appoints directors of operations for three new municipal corporations
The Hyderabad Water Board has appointed Directors of Operations for GHMC, Malkajgiri and Cyberabad municipal corporations. It has also divided its jurisdiction into 12 zones and appointed in-charge Chief General Managers to improve administrative efficiency and water supply management.

Hyderabad: To oversee operations related to water supply and sewerage network in the three newly carved out municipal corporations of GHMC, Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation and Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has deputed senior officials as Directors of Operations.
The Directors of Operations are Vinod Bhargava (GHMC), P Srinivas Reddy (Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation) and Narayana (Cyberabad Municipal Corporation). HMWSSB has also deputed and in-charge Chief General Managers (CGMs) for 12 zones.
The restructuring was aimed to facilitate administrative convenience, and new Operations Director posts were established for each municipal corporation, a press release said. Additionally, the water board’s jurisdiction was divided into 12 zones, with Chief General Managers appointed as in-charge officers for each zone.
Vinod Bhargava, Narayana, Prabhu, P Srinivas Reddy, Nagendra Kumar, and Anand Naik will continue as Chief General Managers. Along with them, Prabhakar Rao, John Sharif, Santosh Kumar, and Subrahmanyam, who were working as General Managers, were appointed as in-charge Chief General Managers, the press release said.
