Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has alerted its consumers about unknown individuals sending false information via SMS from unidentified mobile numbers, claiming that water connections would be disconnected if bills were not paid.
The water board said these fake messages were being sent from various mobile numbers instructing recipients to contact another mobile number for more details. The water board clarified that such messages or APK apps were not sent by them and urged consumers not to respond to such messages, contact the given numbers, or download/install APK files received via WhatsApp.
All official information from the water board is issued only through official channels, including all newspapers and various TV channels.
