HMWSSB closes two gates each of Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar
The water bodies in Hyderabad have received abundant inflows due to continuous rains that lashed the city for more than a week.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) on Sunday closed two gates each of Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar.
Presently, five out of 17 gates of the reservoir are open with all the gates of Osman Sagar being closed. The gates were lifted to drain the flood water into Musi and keep water level in the reservoirs under control. As the rains have stopped in the last two days, the gates were closed.

On Sunday the water level at Himayat Sagar was recorded at 1,762.25 feet against the FTL of 1,763.50 feet. The reservoir capacity is 2.97 TMC and the water level is 2.65TMC.
Meanwhile, at Osman Sagar the levels were recorded as 1,785.50 feet against the FTL of 1,790.00 feet. The reservoir capacity is 3.90 TMC and the water level is 2.97 TMC.
