Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) along with the GHMC and police will take up a joint operation to address the traffic issues in the busy Madapur and Hitec City areas. Towards this, road widening works would be taken up to 5 km from Trident Hotel to Yashoda Hospital.

In this context, HMWSSB MD Ashok Reddy, Cyberabad Joint Police Commissioner, Joel Davis and GHMC Zonal Commissioner, Upender Reddy undertook a joint inspection of the area.

The sewerage pipelines that were destroyed in the road widening work undertaken here were examined and it was decided to restore them as soon as possible. Once the works here are completed, the traffic jams in Madhapur, Mind Space and Hitec City areas would be removed to some extent, a press release said.

It was also decided to take up the construction of new sewage pipeline from Parvatha Nagar Signal to Road No. 45 and the HMWSSB MD suggested to prepare relevant proposals for this.
