HMWSSB Managing Director, K.Ashok Reddy, on Friday, held an emergency meeting with officials and reviewed the services that are disrupted in online services and asked them to implement a contingency action plan to avoid inconvenience to customers.

He directed the officials to switch over to manual method for tanker booking and delivery and resolving complaints received through ‘Metro Customer Care’ (MCC), a round-the-clock call center. A press release said the water board instructed the officials that tanker booking and delivery be carried out manually by staff on the ground, with recording of related details.

The Managing Director also advised the officers and staff on field visit, report contaminated water and sewage overflow complaints to resolve issues on-site promptly.

The special officers, nodal officers, and DGMs were instructed to visit tanker filling stations and review the situation. The officials were also asked to stay alert until the situation is under control and taking steps to address complaints received via social media promptly.

Ashok Reddy also suggested developing an alternative mechanism to resolve issues if similar problems arise in the future. “The water board announced that the technical team is working towards resolving the issue and efforts are underway to restore all services as soon as possible,” the release added.
